Mr. Willis Clifford “Bill” Edmondson passed away on Thursday, May 23rd at his home. He was born on April 13, 1928, the son of Roy Edmondson and Myrtle Ray Edmondson.
Graveside services for Mr. Willis Clifford “Bill” Edmondson, 96, of Alexander City, Alabama will be held on Saturday, May 25th at 4:30 at Hillview Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Wright’s Funeral Home. Rev. Albert Pike and Rev. Jim Cullins will officiate.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife of 62 years, Laura Edmondson, brothers, Jim Edmondson and Oogie Edmondson, sons, Jay Edmondson, Joel Edmondson, sister, Bobbie Khun, and son-in-law, Steve Weathers.
He is survived by his daughter, Melinda Weathers and son , Doug (Mona) Edmondson. Grandchildren: Misti (Eddie) Bass, Christi ( Jonathan) Florine, Gerron (Ashley) Thornton, Lauren E. (Brad) Meister, Lynnsey E. (Chandler) Hall, Heather (Tobin) Ayers; great grandchildren: Adam Hardman, AJ Hardman, Wesley Bass, Laura Bass, Tyler Tapley, Abi Mask, Emma Mask, Ashlyn Thornton , Adley Thornton, Noah Meister, Marlowe Meister, Tillman Hall, Ford Hall, Juliette Hall, Hudson Ayers, Tristan Ayers and Tillman Ayers, great-great granddaughter, Ava Hardman , Alana Hardman, Ivy Armstrong; sisters in law, Faye Edmondson and Carol (Lamar Luster) Edmondson , numerous of nieces, nephews , cousins and faithful friends, Deborah Newman, Debbie and Curtis Strickland, Curtis Payne, William Grant, Leigh Cassiano and Brenda Thornell.
