Mr. Willie Ralph Edwards passed away on July 20th, 2025.
Memorial Service for Mr. Willie Ralph Edwards will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025 in the Chapel of Wright's Funeral Home.
Mr. Willie Ralph Edwards was born on December 23, 1948, in Alexander City, Alabama to James Randolph and Annie Lee Edwards. He attended and graduated from Zana High School. He later graduated from Job Corps of New Jersey. At an early age, Willie received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was a member of The Church of God. He met and married the love of his life, Mellownease Jones and they shared a wonderful 27 years together.
Willie was employed by Vistakon with 20 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James R. Edwards and Annie Lee Edwards; four siblings, Kenneth (Martha) Edwards, Nathaniel (Elizabeth) Edwards, James Edwards and Robert Stanley (Loretta) Edwards.
Mr. Edwards leaves to cherish his precious memories a loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Mellownease “Neasie” Edwards of Jacksonville, Florida; step-daughter, Christie (Fred) Miller, two step-sons, Mr. Darryl Jones and Mr. Edwanyte Jones all of Jacksonville, Florida; three step-grandchildren, Mrs. Cykeria (Marcus) Anthony, Miss Kierra Miller of Jacksonville, Florida, Quayshawn (Krystal) Means of Iowa; eight step great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Phyllis Miller of Cleveland, Ohio, two brothers, Mr. Steve (Dorothy) Edwards of Jacksonville, Florida; Mr. Fredrick (Robbie) Edwards of New Site, Alabama; two sisters-in-law, Francenie Edwards of New Site, Alabama; Mrs. Wynease Giles of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; three aunts, Mrs. Edeline Givens of Los Angeles, California; Ms. Mary Nell Jenkins of Atlanta, Georgia; and Mrs. Vontwill Macklin of St. Louisville, Kentucky; Mrs. Vercie Jenkins of Jackson, Mississippi, and host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
