Obituary For Virginia Greathouse
Ms. Virginia Greathouse of Jackson's Gap, Alabama transitioned home Thursday, December 12, 2019, at Lake Martin Community Hospital.
Funeral Service for Mrs. Virginia Greathouse of Jackson's Gap, Alabama will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Pine Grove Baptist Church with interment following in the Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Greathouse will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Virginia Ross Greathouse was born to the late Essie Foster Manley and Berthard Ross on October 23, 1924 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama.
She confessed her life at an early age and united with Pine Grove Baptist Church. She was a faithful and devoted member until her health decline. Mrs. Greathouse was employed with the Head Start Program for over 40 years.
She received her wings on December 12, 2019 at Lake Martin Community Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leatrice Greathouse, a son, Larry Greathouse and a granddaughter, Ashley Greathouse.
Virginia’s precious memories will always be cherished by her three devoted sons, Jimmie (Christine) Greathouse, Alvin Greathouse, Michael (Vonn) Greathouse all of Jackson’s Gap, Alabama and 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, three honorary daughters, Pat McKoy, Martha Greathouse and Soun Sok, two honorary sons, Sidney McKoy, Veouth Meach and host of other relatives and friends.

Family! We will miss her greatly. I will forever cherish the childhood memories of spending summers in Alabama. Racing, playing, and watching Michael play football. Running from house to house, eating til we couldn't take another bite. Carefree . Stay prayed up and know she is in a better place.
