Mr. Samuel Huntley, Jr. was born June 16, 1938 to the late Rev. Samuel Huntley, Sr. and the late Mrs. Susie Huntley in Alexander City, AL.
He gave his life to Christ at an early age and was a deacon at Flint Hill Missionary Baptist Church for many years until his health declined. He was the former Worshipful Master of his Masonic Lodge and was the former Worthy Patron of the Eastern Star.
He retired as a supervisor from Robinson Foundry and was employed at Wright’s Funeral Home for many years working with his close friend, owner, Mr. Gregory Wright, Sr.
Deacon Huntley enjoyed fishing and watching football he was; an avid Auburn War Eagle.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Huntley, and siblings, Inez, Estelle, Carrie Lee, and Arthur Lee.
Deacon Huntley passed away Friday, April 17, 2026 at Chapman’s Healthcare in Alexander City.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife of 47 years, Robbie Huntley; children, Charlotte Moon, Sammy Huntley, Carol Chapman, Angie Leverette, and Janice Huntley, and Gloria (Napoleon) Withers; brother, James David (JD) Huntley and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
