Wrights Funeral Home respectfully announces the passing of Mr. LaTravis Lawson on August 20th, 2019.
Funeral Service for Mr. LaTravis Lawson will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 23, 2019 at Miracle Baptist Church with interment following New Life Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. LaTravis LaTodd Lawson was born on July 3, 1974 to Rev. Gary A Varner and the late Mrs. Bobbie Ephraim. At an early age, he became a member of Early Rose Baptist Church in Alexander City, Alabama. On August 20, 2019, Todd departed this life at his residence after a long fight with cancer. Todd leaves to cherish his memories a devoted father: Rev. Gary A. (Shelia) Varner of Alexander City, Alabama; five brothers; Christopher (Teresa) Lawson, Gary L. (Phylicia) Varner, Carlos (Tammy) Varner all of Alexander City, Alabama, Gary A. Varner II of Birmingham, Alabama, Senior Airman Eric Varner of Incirlik, Turkey; two sisters: Pamela Norris of Alexander City, Alabama and Twaneisha Thomas of Atlanta, Georgia; five aunts: Beverly (Ron) Beasley of Detroit, Michigan, Tommie Tuck of Kellyton, Alabama, Ruth (Rev. Thomas) Kelley, Elaine (Randy) Spivey and Daisy (Anthony) Smith all of Alexander City, Alabama; five uncles: John Wayne Lawson, Rev. Al (Sacra) Lawson, Tommy Lee Lawson, Rev. Sammy Varner all of Alexander City, Alabama and Cedric Varner of Sylacauga, Alabama, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
