Ms. Jessica Russell of Dadeville, Alabama peacefully transitioned home on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at East Alabama Medical Center, Opelika, Alabama.
Funeral Service for Ms. Jessica Russell will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2020 at New Covenant Church with interment following in Dadeville City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 3, 2020 from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m.
Ms. Jessica Latrese Russell was born in Birmingham, Alabama, on July 3, 1986, to Mrs. Barbara Ann Russell-Crayton and the late Mr. Wardell Turner.
She was educated in the Tallapoosa County School System and graduated from Horseshoe Bend High School in 2005. She is preceded in death by her brother, Emerson Crayton, Jr.; grandfathers, Mr. John Frank Russell and Mr. Elder Turner; grandmother, Mrs. Nettie Pearl Davis-Turner; one aunt, Mrs. Willie Jean Jackson; and uncles, Mr. Rayfield Johnson, Mr. Joe Curtis Hart, Mr. Phillip Hart, Mr. Jerry Turner, and Mr. Melvin Turner.
Jessica leaves to cherish her memories: two loving children, including one daughter, Alexis Black of Dadeville, Alabama and one son, Dankevious Turner of Dadeville, Alabama; a loving and devoted mother, Barbara Ann Russell-Crayton; four brothers, Wardrellis (Mireyda) Cox of Dadeville, AL, Mardracus Russell of Auburn, AL, and Kalob Bailey and Kobe Bailey, both of Jackson’s Gap, AL; two sisters, LaShica Cox and Breanna Crayton, both of Dadeville, AL; one stepsister, Letitia Crabb of Dadeville, AL; one grandmother, Ms. Annie P. Russell of Dadeville, AL; uncles, Mr. Johnny Ray (Cynthia) Russell, James (Carolyn) Davis, and L.C. (Debra) Turner, all of Dadeville, AL, Jerome Turner of Alexander City, AL, Mr. Earnest (Pat) Crayton of Jackson’s Gap, AL, Mr. Willie C. (Brenda) Crayton of Dadeville, AL, Mr. Henry Lee (Nelba) Crayton of Camp Hill, AL, and Mr. James Crayton of Boston, MA; aunts, Ms. Ruby Turner, Mrs. Dorris (Jack) Gross, Mrs. Priscilla (Kevin) Lee, Mrs. Dorothy Johnson, Mrs. Frankie (Lee) Russell, Mrs. LaCheryl (Lamont) Russell, and Minnie Black, all of Dadeville, AL, and Mrs. Dorothy A. (Melvin) Russell of Opelika, AL; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
