Mr. James Strong of Goodwater, Alabama passed away Monday, October 15, 2108 in East Alabama Medical Center, Opelika, Alabama.
Funeral Service for Mr. James Strong will be 2:30 PM Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Goodwater High School Gymnasium with interment in Macedonia Memorial Gardens
Visitation Friday, October 19, 2018 from 2:00 until 6:00 PM
James Arthur Strong was born on May 24, 1982 in Alexander City to Annie L. Strong and the late Jim Harold Strong, former Chief of Police for Goodwater, Alabama.
He gave his life to Christ at an early age. He later became a member of Vision of Abundant Life Church of Sylacauga, Alabama under the leadership of Pastor Michael J. Jennings. James was a dedicated truck driver for BH Transfer Trucking Company of Sanderville, GA.
James leaves to treasure his memories; a devoted wife, Mrs. Amy L. Strong of Goodwater, Alabama; two children, Yasmine McKinney, Auburn University at Montgomery, Alabama and Braylon McKinney of Goodwater, Alabama; a loving mother, Annie L. Strong of Goodwater, Alabama: dear grandmother, Jessie L. Corbin of Goodwater, Alabama; two sisters; Jessica Strong of Birmingham, Alabama and Jeneifer Cochran (Melinda) of Columbus, Mississippi; two brothers, Bernard Strong (Temeika) of Atlanta, Georgia and Edward Conway (Nekedra) Hanover, Alabama; three nieces: Jasmine Williams, his oldest niece, of Talledega College, Gracie Belyeu of Columbus, Mississippi, Chloe Strong of Atlanta, Georgia; four nephews: Narquez Strong, his oldest nephew, of the United States Army, Collin Strong of Atlanta, Georgia; host of uncles, aunts, and cousins, five close and dear friends, Billy Ray Gun (Mr. Bill), Tim Parks (TP), Timothy McGregor (T-Mac), Marcus Whetstone (Rocky), and Rodrickus Spencer (Drick) and numerous other friends.
