We are saddened to announce the peaceful transition of Mrs. Inez Whetstone on Sunday, January 15, 2023.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 Saturday, January 21, 2023 at The Word Bible Church with interment following in New Life Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 2022 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m.
Sister Inez Whetstone was born on January 25, 1946 to the late Rev. Samuel Huntley, Sr. and the late Susie Ella Huntley in Alexander City, Alabama.
Mrs. Inez accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Flint Hill Baptist Church where she attended until her health failed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, T.H. Whetstone, her sons, Terry Whetstone, Jimmy Whetstone, Sr. beloved sister, Estelle Riggans, brother, Arthur Lee Huntley.
Sister Inez gained her wings on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her loving children, Ramona Heard, Vickie (Willie) Smith, Sandra (Michael) Coley, Virginia Whetstone, Vanessa Huntley, Sonya Whetstone, Cedric (Sonya) Huntley, Andre (Robin) Whetstone; her devoted grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great children; brothers, Samuel (Robbie) Huntley, Jr., James Huntley and a host of loving nieces, nephews, sister in laws, brother in law, cousins, uncle, classmates and friends.
