Mrs. Elke Wyckoff of Alexander City, Alabama transitioned home Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Russell Medical.
Funeral Service for Mrs. Elke Wyckoff will be held 11:00 am Monday, December 16, 2019 at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in Rocky Mount Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday, December 15, 2019 from 4:00 until 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Elke Lore Schork Wyckoff was born May 2, 1956 to the late Willie Schork and Anna Winnewisser Schork in Germany. She graduated in July of 1974 Helene-Lange School in Mannheim, Germany.
In 1982, she married the love of her life, Rufus Wyckoff. After many years of traveling, as a Military Wife, Elke and her husband settled in Alabama.
Elke’s love has always been a sustaining force for our family, and one of our greatest joys has always been seeing her compassion, her intelligence, her laughter and her kindness with anyone she interacted with.
On Wednesday, December 11, 2019, in Russell Medical, Elke transitioned home.
Elke’s fond memories and beautiful smile will always be cherished by her husband of 37 years, Rufus Wyckoff of Alexander City, Alabama, and her lovely daughter and grandson, Leslie Lampart and Trevon Whitefield of San Antonia Texas, one sister, Giesla Wirth of Germany, one brother-in-law, Melvin (Lynn) Wyckoff of Cleveland, Ohio, two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Williams, Adiline Hunter both of Alexander City, Alabama and host of nieces, nephews and friends.

I was so saddened to see Elle had passed away. She was such a kind, sweet lady. I always loved to see her smile when I delivered packages to her from her family. She was so proud of her family. RIP I will miss you Elke!
