Mr. Eddie Lee Riggins, 61 of Alexander City, Alabama peacefully transitioned home on Monday, January 13, 2020 at his Residence.
Funeral service for Mr. Eddie Riggins of Alexander City, Alabama (formerly of Phenix City, Alabama) will be held 12:00 Noon Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Taylor's Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Edmond Cemetery in Phenix City, Alabama.
Visitation will be held at Wright's Funeral Home in Alexander City on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m.
Mr. Eddie Lee Riggins graced this life with his presence on April 30, 1958, to the late Robert and Sallie Mae Riggins in Pittsview, Alabama. He quietly departed this life on January 13, 2020, at his home in Alexander City.
Eddie confessed Christ as his Savior at an early age. Eddie worked at Fort Benning, in later years he worked for the Tallapoosa County Housing Authority until his death.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved to dance and enjoyed life. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings, Sallie Bell Riggins, Alicia Mae Dixon, Johnnie L. Riggins, and Robert Riggins, Jr.
Eddie’s memory will forever be cherished in the lives of: five devoted and loving children, Savalas (Keischa) Williams of Atlanta, GA, Cowana Riggins, Theophilus Davis of Columbus, GA, Eric Riggins of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Shenedra Stewart of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; ten loving grandchildren, Kadara Riggins, Kenttrall Riggins, Joseph Forbes, Kendall Williams, Tanaza V. Davis, Theophilus Davis, Jr., Sha-Nyria Davis, TyKera Johnson, Jaquez Riggins, and Triston Riggins; two loving siblings, Annie Riggins and Barbara Smith both of Phenix City, AL; a sister-in-law, Vickie Parker Riggins; one aunt, Nellie Jackson; one uncle, Jimmy Mack; two devoted friends, Jackie Wyckoff and Anthony Scott; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
