Mrs. Beatrice Pearson, 60 of Jackson's Gap, Alabama peacefully transitioned home on Monday, January 13, 2020 at East Alabama Medical, Opelika Alabama.
Funeral service for Mrs.Beatrice Pearson will be Friday, January 17, 2020 at Shady Grove Baptist Church at 2:00 pm.
Burial will follow at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation for Mrs. Beatrice Pearson will be Thursday, January 16, 2020 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Wrights Funeral Home.
Mrs. Beatrice Pearson was born on January 27, 1949 to the late Daisy Foster Heard and B.D. Heard.
At an early age, Beatrice (better known as Bea) joined Jones Chapel United Methodist Church where she song in the choir. Later in life, she joined Shady Grove Baptist Church where she became a deaconess. Beatrice was preceded in death by her mother and father, Daisy and B.D. Heard and one sister, Roberta Heard. Bea leaves to cherish her precious memories: a loving and devoted husband of 53 years, Jimmy Pearson of Jackson’s Gap, Alabama; two loving daughters, Netphillis Pogue and Dale (Quentin) Martin, both of Jackson’s Gap, Alabama; one special son, Dushawn Reddens of Jackson’s Gap, Alabama; three grandchildren: Dameon Martin, Trindon Pearson, both of Jackson’s Gap, Alabama, and Jordan Overstreet of Virginia; a mother-in-law, Bertha Reddens of Jackson’s Gap, Alabama; four sisters, Nellean Kennedy, Bertha (Jerry) Baker, Brenda Crayton, and Diane Heard, all of Jackson’s Gap, Alabama; three brothers, Jimmy Lee (Samantha) Heard, Billy (Wanda) Heard, and Michael Heard all of Jackson’s Gap, Alabama; sister-in-law, Ella Reddens of New York; brother-inlaw, Christopher Reddens of Jackson’s Gap, Alabama; two aunts, Minnie (Frazier) Green of Jackson’s Gap, Alabama and Essie Griffins of Opelika, Alabama; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
