R B Blackshear Jr. sent Beautiful Dreams for Marcellus E. Washington, Sr. - January 02, 2023
From R B & Lee Blackshear to my dear brother Marcellus. You will always be in ours hearts. SGM Blackshear
To Mrs. Washington, Marcellus Jr., siblings, neighbors, friends, and colleagues of Marcelles Washington, I just wanted to take a moment to send my sincere sympathy on the passing of Marcellus. As former community coordinator for the Bunker Hill, Yorktown, Battle Forest area during the 1990's, I had the pleasure to meet Marcelles and come to find out that we both were from South Carolina and I actually went to South Carolina State with at least a family member during the 80's. Marcellus was one of the most decent and supportive human being I have ever met and we could see each other home from a fence. He always volunteered to help keep the community clean and hand out community letters as a street Captain. We would converse with each other several times a week and one of his biggest excitement was watching Marcellus Jr. Play football and winning a state championship at Shaw High School. This God fearing man loved his family, and cared deeply for his fellow human being. As much as he will be missed by all, I think if you asked him will he comeback if he had a chance, he would say no because he is with his savior and in peace with the angels. May God continue to give each of you comfort during this time of bereavement. Jerrette Lee and family (former neighbor and Carolinian).
To my neighbor be strong,God's parking lot was almost empty, he needed to fill a parking spot, for the returns, God said this rental is on time. We all will be,returned to God's parking lot,to be replenished, Amen
