I met this man back when I was stationed at Fort Lee Virginia. He was the 1SG at the time and he seemed to always look out for me. The few times that I was in his office he always gave me guidance when it came to my military career and gave me advice on life in general. Sorry to hear of his passing and regret that I never reached out to him when I left. He was a good man and I hope he has left a lasting impression on others lives as he did mine.
Earvin L. I had the honor of serving with you on Kelly Hill, Fort Benning. You were a platoon Sergeant. We served together in Saudi Arabia. I ran into years later at Fort Lee, after I retired. You were so helpful but that was you, always helping others to become the best versions of themselves. Thanks for being such a great mentor and leader.
Sending my condolence to the Family of Command Sergeant Major Walker.
He served as my Senior Drill Sergent for Echo Company 232 BN, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. As the 1SG for the company he mentored me on all things Drill Sergent, and the art of running through my tenure. His Drill Sgt's and Soldiers knew they could depend on him. He made us a successful Company.
We talked on that Friday when he brought EJ home from the hospital and he said " all he wanted was a Sprite when he got home" I asked why do you have a case? He told me to go home it's to early. That's what reminded me of the great father he was and how he also took care of people. I pray I've done the same for him in all our years of service together ❤.
Namaste, to the Walker village and We, Terry Mayweather and his village sending light and love. I have been visiting my cousin, Terry and his lovely wife, Stacey for years now. I had the privilege to meet Walker on numerous occassions and he was always a scholar and gentle man to our village.
