Obituary For Emmett Byrd
Emmett “Bubba” Byrd passed away on September 4, 2025, at the age of 61. He was born to the late Douglas Byrd Sr. and Patricia Pace Byrd. A devoted husband, father, brother, and son, Emmett was known for his lively personality, infectious smile, strength, and hardworking nature. He brought joy to every room he entered and touched the lives of many.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at New Birth Outreach Church, with interment at Green Acres Cemetery.
Public viewing will take place from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Progressive Funeral Home.

I want to send my condolences to the entire Byrd Family for your loss, I knew Emmett for the past five years and he was a person that knew how to put a smile on your face. He will truly be missed.
I am a longtime friend of Emmett's older brother Doug. Although I never met Emmett personally, knowing Doug makes me feel like I've known him my entire life. From my family to yours, we extend our heartfelt condolences and expressions of love. Lean on and keep God first and he will heal your spirit, one day at a time.
