Emmett “Bubba” Byrd passed away on September 4, 2025, at the age of 61. He was born to the late Douglas Byrd Sr. and Patricia Pace Byrd. A devoted husband, father, brother, and son, Emmett was known for his lively personality, infectious smile, strength, and hardworking nature. He brought joy to every room he entered and touched the lives of many.

A Homegoing Celebration will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at New Birth Outreach Church, with interment at Green Acres Cemetery.

Public viewing will take place from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Progressive Funeral Home.
