Obituary For Estelle Ferrell

Obituary
Mrs. Estelle Ferrell, affectionately known as "Nanny," was born on July 12, 1929, to the late Willie Pearl Ridgeway (Lewis) Ferrell and Hiram Hulin. On August 26, 2023, God sent His angels to bring her home to His heavenly kingdom.

Spiritual Life
A lifelong resident of West Point, GA, Estelle was deeply rooted in her faith. When asked how she was doing, she would promptly respond, "In Jesus' name, I'm doing just fine." Estelle accepted Christ as her personal savior and, despite declining health, nurtured her spiritual life from home. She was an avid reader of the Bible, enjoyed watching gospel programs on the TBN Network, and generously contributed to various ministries. She drew inspiration from the late Dr. R. L. White, Jr. of Mount Ephram Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA.

Personal Life, Career, and Hobbies
Estelle was a beloved cook, taking immense pleasure in preparing meals for family and friends. She lived her entire life in West Point, GA and worked in cafes, provided housekeeping services, and retired from Daniel's Drive Inn of Valley, AL, in 1991. A lover of reading, Estelle was a strong and resilient woman who raised all five of her children alone and was instrumental in her grandchildren's upbringing.

Preceding Her in Death
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ross; her mother, Willie Pearl Ridgeway Ferrell; her fathers, Hiram Hulin and Lewis Ferrell; her daughters, Mary Cathy Bailey and Jenet "Janice" Ferrell; and her sister, Ella Kate Moore.

Survivors
Estelle's memory will be cherished by her son Brad Ferrell of West Point, GA; daughter Earnestine Huguley and son Douglas Ferrell, both of Lanett, AL; and her seven grandchildren: LaFrederick Ferrell of Valley, AL; Eureka (Jeremiah) Bledsoe, LaSonya Ferrell and Rajeeni (Hillmon) Brooks, all of Lanett, AL; Yasha Huguley of Valley, AL; Mario Bailey of Miami, FL; and Katasha (Terrence) Ferrell-Avery of Lanett, AL. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren: Quintavious Bailey and McCarey McCants of Lanett, AL; Sharnitris Barnes of West Point, AL; Kenyetta Brooks of Valley, AL; Tikembe Ferrell of Lanett, AL; China Muff of Tuscaloosa, AL; Ariel Muff of Auburn, AL; Shamesia Pruitt of Jacksonville, AL; Lajerel Woody, Quintavious Roberts, Treasure Patton, Kamiriyah, Kamariyon and Jayden Ferrell, all of Lanett, AL; and Ayden Huguley of Valley, AL. She leaves behind four great-great-grandchildren: Ja'Miracle Bailey of Valley, AL; Tikembre and Empress Ferrell of Lanett, AL; and Arlis Billingslea of Auburn, AL.

Her love and teachings will also remain with her nephew, Richard Moore, Jr. of Cleveland, OH; nieces Stephanie Moore of Cleveland, OH, and Angela Moore of Mayfield Heights, OH; as well as a host of great-nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. ET in the sanctuary of the Pilgrim Baptist Church, 420 North 12th Avenue, Lanett, AL, with Rev. Frederick James, PhD, Pastor, Bishop G. Winston Fanning, Eulogist, Pastor Julia Fanning and Overseer Gary L. Fanning, assisting.
