Obituary
Mrs. Estelle Ferrell, affectionately known as "Nanny," was born on July 12, 1929, to the late Willie Pearl Ridgeway (Lewis) Ferrell and Hiram Hulin. On August 26, 2023, God sent His angels to bring her home to His heavenly kingdom.
Spiritual Life
A lifelong resident of West Point, GA, Estelle was deeply rooted in her faith. When asked how she was doing, she would promptly respond, "In Jesus' name, I'm doing just fine." Estelle accepted Christ as her personal savior and, despite declining health, nurtured her spiritual life from home. She was an avid reader of the Bible, enjoyed watching gospel programs on the TBN Network, and generously contributed to various ministries. She drew inspiration from the late Dr. R. L. White, Jr. of Mount Ephram Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA.
Personal Life, Career, and Hobbies
Estelle was a beloved cook, taking immense pleasure in preparing meals for family and friends. She lived her entire life in West Point, GA and worked in cafes, provided housekeeping services, and retired from Daniel's Drive Inn of Valley, AL, in 1991. A lover of reading, Estelle was a strong and resilient woman who raised all five of her children alone and was instrumental in her grandchildren's upbringing.
