Martha, It has been many, many years since I have seen you so I didn't have the privilege or pleasure of meeting Bob, but I am so sorry to hear of your loss and just wanted to offer my condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Martha, you know I have loved Bob for as many years as I can remember. When we all lived in Virginia, he looked out for me, he always called me "sug" (sugar). I'll never forget anything about "Bobert Gatlin" as I called him. I miss him even though it's been awhile since I saw him. I have you in my prayers and always will...I love you. "sista" Carol
Mr. Bob and Mrs. Martha stayed at the Hampton Inn, where I worked at the front desk, for a few months and they were my favorite guests. I discovered during their stay that they knew my grandparents through the American Legion. Mr. Bob would bring us flowers from the farm, and always checked to make sure I had gotten a copy of the day's newspaper crossword puzzle. He was a joy to get to know. All of my prayers and blessings to the Gatlin family.
Martha, Diane and I were so sad to learn of Bob's death. Only knew Bob a short few years, but I really knew him to be a great man and a Vietnam Brother. May he RIP and welcome home Brother.
Martha we are so sorry of your loss. Bob and I would have the most fun and lots of laughter when he would come to the dental office! I enjoyed his stories he would tell me shared recipes, working with him in the catering service. He will truly be missed by all praying for you and your family!
May there be comfort in knowing that someone so special will never be for gotten! Evelyn Herring
Martha and family, Wayne and I were saddened to learn of Bob's death. He was a good neighbor, and we especially remember with gratitude his calling the fire department when we were not at home and our house caught fire. We will be thinking of you and praying for you as you make difficult adjustments in the days ahead.
Losing a loved one is incredibly painful, and very personal.
