William Henry Walker was born on August 17, 1930, to the late Mr.
William Walker and the late Mrs. Emma Walker. He departed this life
and entered eternal rest on September 17, 2025.
Brother Walker was a faithful member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist
Church in Valley, Alabama. While serving at Bethlehem Missionary
Baptist Church, he was the Sunday School Superintendent. He was
also the District Superintendent of the Auburn District Sunday School
Convention. Later, he served faithfully at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in
Cusseta, Alabama, where he was a Devotional Leader, Sunday School
Teacher of the Menโs Class, and a dedicated member of the church
Choir. He was also a member of the United Male Chorus.
William proudly served his country as a soldier in the United States
Army. He was an Army Veteran who served during the Korean War and
received an Honorable Discharge. Following his service, he worked
at West Point Pepperell and retired after many years of dedicated
employment. He retired from Northside Intermediate School, where
he made a lasting impact on the students and staff.
William Walker was a devoted servant of the Lord, a strong Soldier for
Christ, and a Mighty Warrior for the faith. He stood tall, both in his
faith and in his love for his family, always willing to help others. He
was known as a man who could fix anything, he was like โMacGyverโ
who was able to fix or repair things that could not be repaired.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Marshall Walker,
and Eugene Walker; sisters, Mary Emma Chambers and Lucy Beadell.
William leaves to mourn his passing: his loving wife of 69 years, Annie
