Patti Royal, affectionately known as Nannie, was born on May 7, 1956. She departed this life March 5, 2024 at EAMC.

Patti was fiercely devoted to those she loved. She was never one to complain regardless of her situation and always carried a warm smile. She loved everyone and was always willing to help in any way she could.

Her memories will be cherished by friends and family that loved her more than words can express.

Patti is preceded in death by her Mother, Evelyn Ramsey. Her 2 brothers, Junior Martin and Jimmy Hughes and her sister, Joanne Thomas.

Patti is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 54 years, Bo Royal. Her Daughters, Stacy (Keith) Guess, Stephanie (Chris Ficarra) Royal, and Sheryl (Jason) Stewart. She has 5 Grandchildren, Garrett (Tori) Guess, Allyson (Joe) Lee, Zoë (Clayton) Cockrell, Tiffany (Dylan) Wicker, and Justin Ficarra. She has 6 Great Grandchildren, Dani, Paislee, Macy, Patrick, Josie and Bayley. She has 3 sisters , Lori, Shar and Donna. 1 brother, Tommy and 2 sisters-in-law, Gail and Debbie, lots of nieces and nephews.

Patti retired from Internal Medicine in Opelika and absolutely cherished every memory she had with her “extended “ work family.

Patti’s family will receive friends and family at Lakeside Church of God in Opelika on Monday, March 11, 2024 between 11:00am-12:00pm. The service will begin at 12:00pm and will be officiated by Brother Trey Douglas. Graveside will follow service at Garden Hills Cemetery. Brother Vance McCullom will officiate at graveside.
