Dr. Sonya F. Olbrantz-McGill, a resident of Valley, AL, died Saturday, August 1, 2026 at EAMC-Lanier Health Services, Valley.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. (EST) from Eagle's Nest Cathedral, 1306 East 10th Street, West Point, GA, Bishop Sherman L. Young, Sr. and Bishop Carterris Tucker officiating, and Bishop Sherman L. Young, Sr., Eulogist.
Interment with Military Honors will follow in Mt. Zion AME Church Cemetery, 5058 U.S. Highway 29 North, Opelika, AL. Davis Memorial Mortuary of Valley directing.
Public Viewing is scheduled for Friday, August 7, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Davis Memorial Mortuary.

In my heart she will forever be. I was there when life began and watched her as she lived. I loved her spirit of love, life, and caring. She gave to all as she knew it was the right thing to do. Her spirit will live on in the works she accomplished. There will be many that will remember her generosity. She is resting from her labor as the lord has promised. Safe in his arms.
