Ms. Brenda Diane Glaze, a resident of Valley, AL, died Thursday, August 21, 2025 at her residence.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. (EST) from Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1109 E. 10th Street, West Point, GA 31833, Pastor Travis Porter, Officiant/Eulogist.
Interment will follow in Harmony Memorial Park, 6415 Veterans Memorial Parkway, Lanett, AL 36863. Davis Memorial Mortuary of Valley directing.
Public Viewing is scheduled for Friday, August 29, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. (EST) at Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel.
Brenda Diane Glaze was born on January 19, 1960, in Chambers County, Alabama to the late Mr. Mathis Glaze and Mrs. Elizabeth Thomas Glaze. She professed her faith in Christ at an early age and devotedly served in many roles at Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist Church in Cusseta, Alabama.
Diane was a proud graduate of West Point High School Class of 1978. She pursued higher education at Southern Union State Community College. She went on to earn a BS degree in accounting from Troy State University.
Diane’s career was marked by 44 years of dedicated service to the H. Grady Bradshaw Chambers County Library. She advanced from a work-study student to circulation clerk. Upon earning her accounting degree, she gladly accepted the position of Bookkeeper. She also served as Interim Director and retired as Administrative Assistant to the Director and Office Manager. Throughout her career, Diane formed meaningful connections with people from all walks of life. She demonstrated her passion for community outreach through such programs as The Library Travelers, the Summer Reading Program, and her favorite, A Night Out. She also played a vital role in the annual Toy Drive for the Christian Service Center. Diane was no stranger to quietly working behind the scenes to ensure others’ needs were met with care and compassion.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Martha Bell Palmer; her parents, Mathis and Elizabeth Thomas Glaze; her sister, Kesha Pace; her brother, Forest Jerome Glaze; and her uncle, Cecil “Tony” Harvey.
Diane leaves to cherish her memory several siblings: Chris (Cherry) Glaze of Lanett, AL; Mia Lashun Glaze and Colinda D. Williams of Valley, AL; special friend Rodney Taylor of Mobile, AL, special nieces and nephew: Ashley Bailey of Valley, AL; Ashley Triplett and Curtavis Glaze of Fayetteville, GA; nieces Lazanda (Marcus) Glaze of LaGrange, GA; Angel Glaze of Cumming, GA, Candace McDonald of Alpharetta, GA; Briana Pace and Nadia Pace of Valley, AL; nephews Toby (Lateika) Johnson of Union City, GA, Larocco (Cheryltavus) Glaze of McDonough GA, Blake Glaze of Lanett, AL; special aunt Marie Harvey of Lanett, AL, sister in-law Regina Glaze, LaGrange, GA., special family friend Curtis Bailey of Valley, AL; and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews; loving family members, her cherished library family, and many dear friends.
Diane was a wise, warm-hearted, and nurturing soul. She not only had the right words to say but was also a compassionate listener to all who needed her. She led boldly with grit and strength, never meeting a stranger along the way. She will always be remembered for her radiant spirit, infectious laughter, unwavering kindness, and joyful sense of humor.
Diane’s life was a testimony of service, faith, and family. Her legacy endures in the lives she touched and in the love and laughter she shared with all who knew her. To say she will be missed is an understatement; she will remain forever loved and eternally remembered.

I am so SHOCKED 😲 and Saddened!! I went to her Retirement Party and went on several Trips with her through the Library. Such a Sweet, Loving, Kind person 💖 May Jehovah God remember you on Ressurection day!! Rev.21:4😢🙏🏿😩
