Tavian Randell Walker, Sr. was born on January 24, 2000, to the late Randy Jerome Walker and Teresa McLemore Walker in Valley, Alabama. Behind his quiet disposition was a kind young man with a generous heart who deeply loved his family and friends. On July 1, 2026, Tavian passed away as the result of a tragic accident. The smile we cherished for 26 years and the man we will forever hold close to our hearts left his earthly home for his eternal home.
Tavian was raised in a loving family. He was especially close to his dad, whom most knew as “Big Walk.” That bond never ceased, and when his father passed away, a part of Tavian’s heart went with him. He truly loved his hero and the man he was blessed to call his father.
His family was incredibly close. His mom affectionately called him her “Big Man.” He and his sisters were always playing jokes on one another, dancing, and creating memories together. There was never a dull moment, especially when his dad was around. As unpredictable as each day may have been, the love they shared remained constant through it all.
Tavian graduated from Valley High School in 2018. He was always a hard worker, beginning his first job at Givorns Foods in Valley while still in high school. He later worked in the fast-food industry, serving as an assistant manager at several establishments, with the dream of one day owning his own store. Tavian had a deep passion for music, and if you knew him, you probably caught him singing and dancing to his favorite songs.
He was preceded in death by his father, Randy Walker (“Big Walk”); his paternal grandfather, Oscar Lee Walker; great-grandparents, John Authur (Addie) Walker, N. Lee Moore (Mildred); his maternal great-grandmother, Cora Bell Little; and his maternal grandfather, Jim W. McLemore.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved son, Tavian Randell Walker, Jr.; his mother, Teresa (Darryl) Walker of West Point, Georgia; his two sisters, K’Mya (Mario) Williams of Lafayette, Alabama, and Kelsie Walker of Denver, Colorado; his paternal grandmother, Johnnie Pearl Walker; his maternal grandmother, Carrie McLemore; his son's mother, Andrionna Gilbert; his aunts,
Daphne (Chester) Smith, LaTanya (Reginald) Foreman, Barbara Carlisle, Angela Little Moore, Erica McLemore, Joyce McLemore, and Barbara Billingslea; his uncles, John Allen Patterson, Christopher Little, and Derrick Bailey; his cousins, Pamela Carlisle, Anthony Carlisle, Jamon Patterson, Jamal Patterson, Damien Patterson, Christavious Magby, Jada Little, Tyra Stinson, Myles Simmons, Cameron McLemore, Karter Harris, Kyzer Whitaker, Malia Rose Whitaker, Curtis Brewer, Antonio (Raqsheika) Brewer, Khristina (Rob) Johnson, Shareka Bailey, Janeka Bailey, Deoni Bailey, and Ebony Bailey; and his best friends, Alex Rivers and Hunter Bailey.
Tavian was a wonderful and devoted father who cherished every moment he spent with his son. Whether it was frequent trips to the park, weekends at the mall, or simply spending quality time together, being a father was one of his greatest joys.
If you had the pleasure of knowing Tavian, then you know it was a blessing to have him in your life. He had a contagious smile, a kind heart, and a gift for making people laugh. Tavian loved to dance, sing along to Drake and his favorite R&B songs, and bring happiness wherever he went. On Thursdays, you could usually find him at China Moon, his favorite restaurant. Every payday, they could count on seeing his smiling face walk through their doors.
He was the kind of person who would do anything for anyone, always willing to lend a helping hand without hesitation. His love, generosity, and unforgettable spirit touched countless lives, and the memories he created will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
