Mr. Melvin J. “Diddy Boy” Floyd, Jr., a resident of Lanett, AL, died Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at East Alabama Medical Center, Opelika, AL.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. (EST) from Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, 1601 Magnolia Road, Lanett, AL, Rev. Leonard Autry, Officiant and Bishop Donald Lancaster, Eulogist.
Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Lanett, AL. Davis Memorial Mortuary of Valley directing.
Public Viewing is scheduled for Monday, December 18, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. (EST) from Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel.

you cant even see me grauduate no more or get my license. i miss you so much everytime i do something i think about how you would react or what you would say. i love you so much
Melvin was always a friend to me. We met early in life at Shawmut Elementary school grade1 in the late 70's. We went to school together all of our lives til graduation at VHS. He is sadly missed. Bless this family.
