Obituary For Mr. Jessie James Patterson

Mr. Jessie James Patterson, a resident of Valley, AL, died Friday, December 16, 2022 at Diversicare of Lanett Healthcare in Lanett, AL.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. (EST) from Concord Missionary Baptist Church, 11727 U. S. Highway 280 East, Salem, AL 36874, Rev. Marshall Morgan, Pastor and Rev. Willie G. Wimberly, Officiant/Eulogist.

Interment will follow in the churchyard cemetery. Davis Memorial Mortuary of Valley directing.

Public Viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. (EST) from Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel.

Mr. Jessie James Patterson was born on February 8, 1948 to the parentage of the late S. T. and Emma Lee Thomas Patterson in Lee County, Alabama. At an early age, Jessie James accepted Christ as his personal Savior and joined the Concord Missionary Baptist Church in Salem, Alabama.

Jessie was educated in the Lee County Public School System. He worked numerous years for West Point Stevens Textile Mills and was later employed as a Logger in the Logging Industry until his health failed.

Jessie James loved just sitting around visiting with family and friends. He was an avid spade player and challenged anyone to the table. He also had a love and passion for fishing.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Tommie Lee Patterson. Jessie James answered the call—departing this life on Friday, December 16, 2022 at Diversicare of Lanett Healthcare Facility in Lanett, Alabama.

His loving memories will be cherished by: his daughter, Joann Harris, Albany, GA; grandchildren, Mark Harris of Florida and Miracle Tumbs, Albany, GA; great-grandchildren, Gaven Harris, Jacob Harris and Malaysia Harris all of Florida; his siblings, Johnny C. (Sarah) Patterson, Essie Brown, George Willie Patterson, and Jeralene Heard all of Valley, AL; his god-son and god-grandson, Jermaine Martin and Jermaine Martin, Jr. respectively, both of Opelika, AL; and a host of caring nieces and nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
