Mr. Gus Marshall, Sr., a resident of Valley, AL, died Sunday, May 24, 2026 at Diversicare of Lanett, Lanett, AL.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. (EST) from Rehoboth Missionary Baptist Church, 206 Huguley Road, Valley, AL, Rev. Gretchen Mitchell Holloway, Associate Pastor/Officiant and Rev. Calvin Marshall, Eulogist. Interment will follow in Rehoboth Cemetery. Davis Memorial Mortuary of Valley directing.
Public Viewing is scheduled for Friday, May 29, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. (EST) at Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel.

Heartfelt condolences on the loss of Uncle Gus.
Words can't even describe how much this hurts me. I remember always wanting to go over to my grandad's house, and he would let me pick plums off his tree. Sometimes he'd already have a bag ready for me before I even got there, and I would always eat them. I remember it like it was yesterday. And let's not forget the bubble gum and snacks — every time I came over, he always had jars full of them for me to pick out and get. We would sit and talk for hours.
I'm so thankful I got to spend 18 years with you, Grandad. Tatum loves you so much. May you rest peacefully ❤️😢😢..
