Mr. Corey Huguley, a resident of Valley, AL, died Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at his residence.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. (EST) from New Life Ministries, Valley, AL, with Pastor Teddy Reece officiating.
Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Lanett, AL. Davis Memorial Mortuary of Valley directing.
Public Viewing is scheduled for Monday, April 17, 2023 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel.
Mr. Corey Jermaine Huguley was born July 5, 1973 in Chambers County, Alabama. He is the son of Mrs. Bobbi Jean Moore and the late Mr. Coley Huguley. Corey accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Hermon Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Louis Upshaw.
Corey received his education in the Lanett City Schools and was a 1992 graduate of Lanett High School. He was employed with East Alabama Water District for 15 years, holding the position of Foreman when he became disabled.
He was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, nephew, and cousin. He had a heart of gold and touched the lives of everyone he came in contact with. He was a sweet and gentle person, would do anything for anybody and would give you the shirt off his back.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Coley Huguley, maternal grandmother, Mary Frances Phillips, aunt, Linda Jackson, three uncles Johnny Phillips, Jerome Phillips and Mark Phillips. Corey J. Huguley departed this life on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at his residence in Valley, Alabama.
He leaves to cherish sweet memories: one daughter, Alliyah Sada Huguley, Valley, AL; one son, Justin Ladarius Huguley, Valley, AL; three grandchildren, Kingsley Huguley and Major Huguley both of West Point, GA and Dakota Billingsley, Valley, AL; his loving and devoted mother, Bobby Jean (Dwayne) Moore, Valley, AL; one brother, Quentin (Toni) Carten, McDonough, GA; three sisters, Stacey Phillips, Valley, AL, Marlo Huguley and Tawana Hutchinson both of West Point, GA; aunts, Mona Phillips, Valley, AL, Teresa Brock, Jacksonville, FL and Erma (Willie) Holloway, Valley, AL; one uncle, Richard Phillips, Valley, AL; three special nieces, Charity Brianna Carten, Faith Journey Carten and Hope Joy Carten all of McDonough, GA; niece, Kyla Hargett, West Point, GA; two special cousins, Jacqueline (A Z) Griffin, Valley, AL and Lasonja (Jeff) Gauldin, Griffin, GA; special friends, Jimberly Cotton, Lanett, AL and Jonathan “Blackie” Holloway, Valley, AL; two special spiritual friends, Pastor Eddie “Teddy” Reece III and Pastor Teresa Reece both of Valley, AL; other relatives and friends.
