Mr. Chetreile M. “Pork Chop” Huguley, former resident of Valley, AL, died Friday, April 25, 2025, in Montgomery County, TX. Funeral

Services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. (EST) from Community Baptist Church, 1300 Whitesmill Road, Valley, AL with Pastor Amos Newton, Eulogist/Officiating.

Interment will follow in Hall Memorial Cemetery, 208 Huguley Road, Valley, AL. Davis Memorial Mortuary of Valley directing.

Public Viewing is scheduled for Monday, May 12, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. (EST) at Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel.

Chetreile, affectionately known to some as Treile, Chop, Dad, or Bro, departed this
world on Friday, April 25, 2025. Chetreile Markeia Huguley was born April 23, 1978,
Firstborn son to Chester C. Smith and the late Mary J Huguley-Humphrey in Valley,
Alabama. Being born on his grandmother’s birthday Chetreile came into this world,
being his grandmother’s pride and joy, the late Janie Mae Huguley. Chetreile grew up
in Valley Alabama in which he attended the Valley public school system. Chetreile
played football in high school. He loved the sport, and he loved watching his favorite
team the University of Alabama, Treile was a diehard Alabama Crimson Tide fan in
which he would yell often “Roll Tide”. Chetreile graduated from Valley High School
in 1997.

Chetreile and his best friend Jermel Pace joined the Masons in Valley, AL. In 2000
Ivory Jakia made her debut followed by Nia Jeane, Reina Kiche and Kendal Christan.
Chetreile started long haul truck driving with Western Express in 2002 and then
transferred to USA Truck, Inc. Chetreile loved his children very much, they were his
heart beats. He always wanted to be able to provide for them.

In 2008 Chetreile moved to Boston MA where he began a life with Krystena Bradshaw.
In 2009 he joined the Church of God and Saints of Christ in Boston where he was
baptized under the late Evangelist-at-Large James N Bradshaw. August 22, 2010
Chetreile and Krystena were married in holy matrimony and from this union Malachi
K Huguley was born in November of 2014. April 20, 2015, Chetreile was ordained as
a Deacon where he served in Boston, MA. Chetreile loved to cook for his family every
Sunday morning where he would create big southern breakfasts from biscuits, his egg
casserole, fried fish, cheddar cheese grits and bacon. Chetreile loved to watch people
enjoy his food at every family gathering such as Thanksgiving or special occasions.
You could guarantee he would be found in the kitchen preparing his famous baked
macaroni and cheese or his delicious collard greens or fried chicken. Chetreile was a
master on the grill, his BBQ sauce and his marinades made the cookouts even more
pleasant to attend. If you walked in the kitchen, you could always hear music being
blasted while he was cooking listening to the Blues, gospel music or R&B, he just loved
music.

Chetreile loved being around his family, anytime there was a card game going on, you
could rest assure that he was already sitting at the table smiling from ear to ear and
ready to talk smack as he slapped the cards on the table. He was a smooth dresser and
would always light up the room whenever he walked in the room with the scent of his
cologne. Chetreile loved to dance and didn’t mind doing his Chicago stepping. Treile
loved to talk and if you got on the phone with him, he would keep you on for more
than hour. Some his favorite sayings were “Hey it is what it is” or “Go head on with
that”.

He was no stranger to hard work, he worked various jobs from long haul driving,
security, to Department social services counselor, Utility Locate Technician at USIC.
But his first love was truck driving. Treile loved to drive, he would often take it upon
himself to offer to drive his pastor Elder George Bruce or his family to any out-of
town church conventions or family vacations. With his large coffee in his hand and
music playlist, he was prepared to drive anywhere you wanted him to take you. He
loved driving so much that he decided to go back to long haul driving in 2024 with
Swift Transportation. On April 25th, 2025, Chetreile made his last run and God seen
that he was tired and called him home.

Chetreile is preceded in death by his mother Mary Jean Huguley- Humphrey. His
grandparents Clifford and Mattie Smith, Janie Mae Huguley and John Tucker. He
leaves to cherish his precious memories of his beloved wife Krystena Bradshaw of
Boston MA. His five children, three daughters: Ivory Huguley of LaGrange, GA, Nia
Huguley and Reina Huguley of Chicago, IL, his sons Kendall Huguley of Chicago,
IL and Malachi Huguley of Boston, MA. One granddaughter Riella Love Cargo of
Chicago, IL. Parents: Father Chester C. Smith (Daphne)of Valley, AL, Stepfather
David Lee Humphrey of Auburn, AL. Father-in- Law Richard Brown and Mother
in-law Christine Brown of Boston, MA. Siblings Carlamesia McCullough Williams
(Carlos) of La Grange, GA, Jermane Smith of LaFayette, AL, Oryentae Daimon
Huguley of Loachapoka, AL, Antavius Dunn, Jaden Smith, Shai’Breyonna Smith,
Cheston Smith, and Sha’Nya Smith and Racquel Carr, all of Valley, AL. Stepbrothers
Curtis Brewer and Antonio (Raysheika) of Valley, AL. One Brother-in-Law Jerome
Bradshaw (Janet) of Boston, MA. One Sister-in-Law, Melissa Disola (Boston, MA).
Six godchildren, Goddaughters Audra DeVaughn and Asia Gray both of Pittsburgh,
PA, Sarah Bradshaw of Boston, and Godsons Jaden Perry of Atlanta, GA, Michael
Hennessy and Jecon Bruce both of Boston, MA. Best Friend Jermel Pace of Valley, AL
and a large host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
