TORSHEKIA “TCEE” LERTISE HENDERSON was born on November 21, 1976 to Beatrice “Bea” Johnson Henderson and Johnny Ray Henderson, who both preceded her in death.
Tcee completed her education at Booker T. Washington High School in Tuskegee, Alabama. She then went on to further her education in the field of Nursing at Southern Community College in Tuskegee, AL where she became an outstanding Licensed Practical Nurse in 2001.
Tcee touched countless lives in the medical field, but her greatest accomplishment was becoming a mother to six wonderful children.
Tcee devoted her life to Jesus Christ at a young age. She re-established her faith and relationship with God before and through battling her illness.
Tcee was a true angel on earth. She had a heart of gold and knew no stranger. She was compelled to share her love for the Lord with all who would listen with boldness and without shame.
Tcee was a strong woman of God who encouraged others despite her own tests and trials. She was truly a phenomenal woman and a special precious gem. To know Tcee was a priviledge and an honor.
On April 6, 2023, God called His angel Tee home to heaven. She leaves to honor and cherish her memories with six children: Quintavius (fiancée: Andrea Hargrave) Ellington, Islannd Maddox, Brandon Henderson, Gabirel Henderson, Kamil Dauda, and Channing Oree, all of Union Springs, AL; five brothers: Terrence L. Johnson, Chicago, IL, Raymond C. Henderson, Montgomery, AL, Charis A. (Stephanie) Henderson, Chicago, IL, Cecil D. (Jessica) Henderson, Chicago, IL and Bryan Burton, Tuskegee, AL; three grandchildren, several uncles and a host of other family members and special friends.
The Staff of Carter Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the Final Life Celebration Arrangements for the late Ms. Torshekia Lertise Henderson.

Dear Teesee you will be missed and your family and friends are sad. But the love that you left behind in your children is so wonderful. You taught them to love one another and others. So thank you for that because your children are so easy to LOVE.
Dearest TeeCee,
My sweet sister, my dear friend! 💔 Words can't describe the pain I feel with your absence now. You were the first person that I ever became friends with right after high school.
We were two silly young ladies that laughed about everything. We were two peas in one pod. There was never a dull moment when we were together.
We had a lot of laughter together and a lot of pain as well but through it all, and even as the miles separated us, our faith in God took us from earthly sisters to spiritual sisters.
You were always my sister from another mother. I love you TeeCee. We spoke those three words to one another with every ended phone conversation and my heart aches because I will never again hear them spoken from your lips in this lifetime.
But to God be all glory, because when my time on this earth is over, I will be reunited with you, your mother, my mother, and so many loved ones that I am longing to see.
Your time here with us was so short but God needed you back. He needed His angel back in His presence and now you are watching over us and your beloved children from God's Heavenly windows.
There will always be hole in my heart as I go through this life without you but I know you are in the presence of God and at prefect peace. Rest well in paradise my sweet, beautiful sister.
My condolences to your children and your family. I will continue to keep you all in my prayers.
