- Aunt "Bea" - Truly was one who brought joy!!! I last had the privilege of being in her presence last year while visiting in Haines City, her generous and loving spirit was shown to the entire family. When we visited her in Union Springs, she always made sure she fixed us a delicious home cooked meal. She will truly be missed but I pray her legacy of God's love lives on in the Foster/Kendrick family.
- Rest In Peace Aunt Bea, I love you ... Your niece, Pearl Griffin Corbit
You know time sure does play tricks on you. It seems like our time was just yesterday but in all actuality it was last year in 2016.
If I may share my recent memory of my dear sweet Aunt "Bea" .....I remember a kind soul; strong in the word; determined in her faith in the Lord.
For the little time we spent together this year during her visit to Polk county I felt like we developed this heartfelt spiritual bond. I remember as she prepared a message on meekness (for her participation in the fruit of the spirit program at her church) we researched the biblical meaning of the word and the virtue behind being meek. We concluded that meekness is actually one of the strongest fruit of the spirit and if we demonstrate this we shall reep a good reward. Psalms 37:1 says ""But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. " Aunt Bea demonstrated this humble Godly characteristic throughout her life.
During her visit this year my dads brother found out i was visiting in Polk county and stopped by my grandma JohnnieMae's house. He gave us both a foot massage. She and I enjoyed it a whole heep We got in to a discussion about the Lord and though there was alot of talk she didn't judge or debate the discussion. I just remember her saying aint God good.
As she witnessed my failing health conditions she encouraged me that weekend to stay strong in my faith and in the power and wonderful works of the Lord. What a bold soldier was she!
Somehow I always seem to share a closeness with elderly saints. Aunt Bea did not prove to be any different. I loved her so very much and will remember and continue to share the time we spent together.
Rest In Peace Auntie Your Loving Great niece, Aundrea Corbit
