Obituary For Richard Thomas Fuller II
Richard Thomas Fuller, II passed away on September 29, 2023, at EAMC Hospital in Valley, Alabama.
Richard was born on October 1, 1985, to Richard T. Fuller and the late Leslie Cook Fuller of West Point. Richard was born with special needs but with determination and unwavering encouragement from his parents he is succeeding in graduating from Troup County High School. The support he received while attending school was largely attributed to dedicated educators and special assistance from aide Arrie Turner. Richard and his family were filled with pride the day he walked across the stage at graduation.
Richard was lively and outgoing, with interests that spanned Paw Patrol to Grand Opera and the Five Tenors. TV game shows were his mainstay and his knowledge gained from Jeopardy was amazing. The family loved to go on vacations and had several favorite spots. Savannah, Jekyll Island and the North Georgia mountains were tops on his list of destinations and he recalled favorite activities and restaurants in each.
Richard is survived by his father, Richard Fuller, of West Point. Other surviving family members are aunts Helen Fuller Lynn and Mary Fuller Kuffner, both of Ormond Beach, FL, Bryan Cook of West Point, Aunt Cindy Chadwick of Shawmut and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his uncle George W. Fuller, Ill of West Point.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Marseilles Cemetery in West Point.

Whenever I think of RT, I remember his love of game shows. His excitement and enthusiasm was infectious. I know Leslie is so happy to have him but I hate the loss Richard will feel. Know your family is here and how much we love you!
I stand corrected. Now that I think about it, Richard wasn't the friend that did basketball in high school, although I do think he participated in special Olympics with WPE when he was younger. Another great memory was always seeing his Mom and Dad loving and supporting him in every way possible!
Richard was a classmate and friend of mine from West Point Elementary until our 2003 graduation at Troup High School. I remember him wheeling down the halls at WPE just grinning, laughing, and enjoying life to the fullest. He was a pro at maneuvering his wheelchair. I think I have memories of him getting in trouble a few times for speeding. Lol I loved being able to help him in any way I could. I also remember him participating in the Special Olympics and being pretty great at basketball. He may not have realized it, but he was teaching me a lot about life, love, compassion, perseverance, etc. He was a precious soul!! Prayers for you Mr. Fuller as you grieve his loss.
