Mr. Perry Alan Maxwell 78 of Lanett passed away Friday May 16th at WellStar West Georgia in LaGrange.
There are no public services planned for Mr. Maxwell.

Perry and my brother Hugh were in the same class at West Point High School and were big hunters and both loved to fish. When I moved across the street and decided to remove a tree unfortunately I also took some cables down actually got the tree stuck in the wires. Perry saw me struggling with it, stopped working in his yard ,which was a huge thing , he came and helped me and we became competitors in our quest to have the best yard in Lanett. He won hands down. RIP Perry! Marvin Turner
