Marianna and I were classmates at West Point High School and roommates at West Georgia College. We continued to be best friends after she and Larry Tomlin married, and I met their precious son Patrick several times when he was a little boy after I had moved to Atlanta in 1973. Marianna and I exchanged letters for years and kept in touch more recently when she was living at Florence Hand Home in LaGrange . I last saw Marianna and Larry at a high school class reunion. She and I talked on the phone often after Larry had passed away, and it was clear that Patrick was her world. She loved him with a mother's unconditional love and was always excited to tell me about his accomplishments and when he would be coming for a visit. My heart goes out to all of the family. I will miss my friend's sweet voice and I'm so happy for the memories we shared. Angelia Spears Kaplan
