Kenneth Michael East (Mike), born on February 7, 1966, passed away on April 27, 2024, surrounded by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Myrtis Ketchie, his parents O.R. and Margie East and grandson, Aaden East.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Tina Tenney East, his parents, Jerry, and Connie Tenney. Survivors also include his sister Debbie (Eddie) Holloway, his brothers Walter (Rhonda) East, Terry (Tammy) Hunt and Tim Myers, and his aunt Susan (Edward) Hornsby.
Mike is also survived by four wonderful children, Rebecca East (Carl Cupp), Kenneth Michael (Mikie) East, Jr. (Cindy), Amanda Doler (Brandon), and Jerry Riley (JR) East (Jennifer).
He had eleven amazing grandchildren including Logan (Kacey), Sierra (Austin), Dawson, Aspen, Camrin (Cheyenne), Tyi (Seth), Riley, Gavin (Christina), Harley (Michael), Gracin and Landon. Mike is also survived by two beautiful great-grandchildren, Addisyn, and Oaklynn.
Mike was known for his love of deep-sea fishing with his family. He loved the annual trip to Panama City Beach with his extended family. He was self-employed for most of his life, for which he was very proud. He worked very hard to take care of his extended family daily. Tina was the love of his life and best friend for over 43 years. He will be missed by many.
A Visitation Service will be held on Tuesday, April 30th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM EST at Valley-Point Funeral Home in Lanett.

Mike, I will miss you always. Along with my husband Terry ...You and Tina are my Best 🧡 Friends. We have all shared alot together and I'm not saying goodbye to you, I'm gonna say see you later because I feel like in my heart you knew GOD and I will see you again when I get to Heaven. In the meantime I'll miss you and I will stick by Tina as much as I can. Don't worry about her, she's being really strong right now and I know her time will come when it all finally hits her,but all of your children and I will be right beside her.Thank you for helping raise T.J. & Stephen when I was so sick and Terry had to work so much, yall stepped in and helped raise them.T.J. just told me the other day that he shot his first 🦌 deer with you.
