Obituary For Charline Young Chandler
Mrs. Charline Young Chandler, 78 of Lanett, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Friday, February 10th, 2017, surrounded by her family.
Visitation will be at Bluffton Funeral Services in Lanett, Monday, 6-p.m. to 8 p.m., February 13th, 2017.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 14th, 2017 at Bluffton Funeral Services with Rev. Tim Campbell officiating.
The family will be at the family home, 816 South 8th Avenue, Lanett, Alabama.
Mrs. Chandler was born on September 5th, 1938, in Langdale, Alabama. On January 28th 1956, she married her husband of 58 years, Bobby Chandler. She graduated from Valley High School in May of 1956. Mrs. Chandler worked for West Point Pepperrell, in Fairfax Mill, for 19 years. She worked in customer service for Givorns Food and Kroger’s, retiring, in 2001, from Kroger’s. She enjoyed a flower garden, reading and puzzling, time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Shawmut Nazarene Church.
Mrs. Chandler is survived by three daughters, Kathy (Phillip) Dukes, Debby Chandler (Kenny Clayton), Lisa Chandler (Randy), and one son Tony (Brittney) Chandler. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Amanda (Johnny) Johnson, Cody (Lora) Foster, Donovan (Mindy) McClurg, Tiffany (John) Searing, Amber Wade, Blake Wade and the babies that she lived to see, Reid and Ansley Chandler and 11 Great grandchildren and Shane Chandler whom she thought of as a son. Mrs. Chandler was proceeded in death by her husband, Bobby Chandler, her son, Rickey Lamar Chandler, her parents, W.J. and Pauline Young, Her siblings, Willis Young, Greg Young and Betty Walls.
