Obituary For Cecil Nix, Jr.
Mr. Cecil Nix, Jr. , 69 year old resident of LaGrange, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at Hospice LaGrange.
Mr. Nix was born November 3, 1947, in LaGrange, Georgia, the son of the late Cecil Nix, Sr. and Elizabeth Hollis Nix. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Viet Nam War. Mr. Nix was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries received when he stepped on a land mine at Phu Bai and Hue.
Survivors include his daughter, Cecilia Poisson and her husband, Jaimie of Flowery Branch; his sister, Dean Lambeth of LaGrange; his step daughter, Tabatha Medders and her husband David of LaGrange; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Destiny, Ashley, Cody, Dylan, Faullon and Justin; and 4 great grandchildren, Triston, Katelyn, Jadyn and J.C.
A Celebration of Life will held Saturday, September 30, 2017, at Long Cane Park, beginning at 11:00 AM EDT.
