Obituary For Shekal L. Melson
Thrash and Sons Funeral Home respectfully announce the passing Ms. Shekal L. Melson, age 37, of Hogansville, Georgia on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at WellStar Cobb Hospital in Austell, Georgia.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Wadley Chapel United Methodist Church in Corinth, Georgia. Pastor Rodney D. Grier will officiate and interment will follow in the Wadley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Shekal Latrese Melson was born on February 18, 1981 to her parents, Ruby Melson and the late Willie Melson. She attended Callaway High School in Hogansville, Georgia. She graduated in 1999. Shekal departed her life on October 20, 2018 at Wellstar Cobb Hospital. She battled with health issues for a number of years, but never complained.
Shekal leaves to cherish her loving memories of 37 years, her loving, caring, and devoted family: mother, Ruby Melson; brother, Kelly (Kisha) Melson; and sister, Teresa Martin; all of her precious, precious nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Shekal is also survived by a host of uncles, aunts and countless relatives and friends.
