We respectfully announce the passing of Mr. Lovette Dean, age 79, on Sunday, April 19, 2020 at Christian City Rehabilitation Center in Union City, Georgia.
Private Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at St. Paul CME Church Cemetery in Lone Oak. Pastor Frank Dean Jr. will officiate.
Public viewing will be Friday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Due to COVID-19 restrictions there will be a limit of 3 people at a time in the Funeral Home with social distancing of six feet.
Mr. Lovette Dean was born November 2, 1941 to the late Ivy and Annie Mae Dean in Hogansville Georgia, Lovett departed this life on April 19, 2020 at Christian City Rehabilitation Center in Union City, GA.
Lovette attended Meriwether County School in Greenville, GA.
Lovette was life long member of St. Paul CME Church, he enjoyed fishing, watching wrestling and cooking. Lovett retired from Bishop House movers.
He was married to Ileva Dean for 38 years who proceeded him in death.
Lovette had 3 children (daughter)Lacretia (Nana)Waller who proceeded him in death, (daughter) Charline (Randy) Merritt and (son) Johnny (India) Powell Jr., he has eight grand children Dion Mitchell, Rodereck Mitchell, Dereck Mitchell, Antwan (Elizabeth) Powell, Brandon Merritt, Jordon Merritt, Jawan Powell, and Brittany Powell.
He was proceeded in death by three brothers Unice, Ivy Jr., and Ector Dean, twin sister Love Dean Freeman and two sisters Julia Lee Grissom and Clara Dean.
Brother’s James Robert Dean & Willie Dean, sister’s Bessie Lindley, Christine Murphy, Anne Pearl Sewell and Ambra Jean Wilson, brother in law Willie B Manghram, and sister in law Clara Bell Tilghman and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
