My heart goes out to the family and friends of Mr. Cotton. I'm so sorry for your loss. The bible talks about how Jacob felt when he was deceived into believing that his son Joseph had been killed by a wild animal. In Gen. 37:34, 35 it saids,"With that Jacob ripped his garments apart and put sackcloth around his waist and mourned his son for many days. 35 And all his sons and all his daughters kept trying to comfort him, but he kept refusing to take comfort, saying: “I will go down into the Grave mourning my son!” And his father continued weeping for him. Several years later, the death of Joseph still weighed heavily on his mind. So you all are not alone in grieving the loss of a love one. But the good news is the bible also saids in Isaiah 26:19 that," Your dead will live.My corpses will rise up.Awake and shout joyfully,You residents in the dust! For your dew is as the dew of the morning,And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." So the good news is that Jehovah promises a resurrection. So I hope this scripture give you all comfort in knowing what will happen for us in the future.
God lovingly provides help for us when we face difficulties, We can rely on Him. The Bible says "Throw all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you," ( 1Peter 5:7)
May God bless you in your time of deep sorrow, "while you throw all your anxiety on him because he cares for you" (James 4:8).
Praying that God will comfort your heart, lift your spirit and carry you through this time of sadness.
