Obituary For Geraldine Phillips Robinson
We regretfully announce the passing of Mrs. Geraldine Phillips Robinson, age 81, of Cleveland, Ohio on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at University Hospital in Cleveland.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 9, 2024, St. Mary United Methodist Church located at 100 Pine Street in Hogansville, Georgia 30230.
Pastor Elaine Gilbert will officiate and Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Public viewing will be Friday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
Geraldine Phillips Robinson was born on September 10th,
1942 in Hogansville, Georgia to the late Clarence and Lula
Mae Phillips. She was the third of eight children born to this
union. She found Christ at an early age and was christened and
baptized at St. Mary Methodist Church. She remained
methodist until her death. She received education in the Troup
County School System and graduated from West End High
School in 1960.
In 1965, Geraldine moved to Cleveland, Ohio where she lived
until her passing. She worked for many years in both
hospitality and food service before retiring from McGregor
nursing home in 2006.
Geraldine loved cooking, traveling and spending time with her
family. She loved to watch TV, her favorite programs were
sports, game shows and any program hosted by Steve Harvey.
Geraldine is preceded in death by her parents and four
siblings: Charles, Clarence Jr., Carl and Rudene.
On February 28th, 2024, Geraldine earned her wings and
leaving to cherish her memories are her two sons, Timothy Sr.
(Marian) and Kelvin Sr; her daughter Laon; five grandchildren,
Timothy Jr. (Christal), Kelvin Jr. (Olivia), Taylor, Kevin and
Rayon; three great-grandchildren, Tatum, Kali and Timothy
III; her sisters, Hattie, W. Kate and Gloria Jean; brother
Clifford; brother-in-law, Bobby; sister-in-law, Barbara; and a
host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends
