We regretfully announce the passing of Mr. George Lakes Jr. “Pete”, age 72, of Hogansville, Georgia on February 2, 2026 at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Mount Perria Baptist Church, 2942 Mobley Bridge Road in Hogansville, Georgia.
Pastor Dwight Hardaway will officiate and Interment will follow in the Campground Cemetery.
Public viewing will be held on Friday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home.

George was a great guy. He was the sweetest guy in school.
My Deepest Condolences to Cynthia, Barry & the Lakes Family. George was a Gentle Giant & One of the Older Guys that I Respected & Looked up To. Definitely one of the Best I ever Seen with that Pool Stick Better known as The Legendary "Minnesota Fat"!!!! I haven't seen George in years but he will be Remembered. R.I.P. "Pete".
