I just learned of Calvin's passing. I was so shocked and still am. We both worked together at GM for a good 30 years. Calvin would come visit in my area and we would talk about anything. He always had that sly smile. He talked about his daughter a lot. Then, he moved to Georgia and we only talked a few times. My sympathy goes out to his immediate family who he spoke of often. Fern

Calvin was a very good man. We always had great conversations Love to go fishing with him hanging out many of times he was a sincere honest nice man. You are going to be missed very much Calvin..
Our thoughts and prayers are with George and his family in the passing of his beloved brother Calvin. 'Bubba' was a gentleman. His kindness and loving spirit was evident. He spoke little words and had a gentle smile, but you knew he loved you. His heart was big and his sweet spirit flowed. Bubba has transitioned from his earthly home to his eternal home. The Lord has welcomed Calvin into His arms. As I will remember his loving and tender spirit, I'm grateful for his friendship and conversations. A friendship that has spanned more than 40 years. Rest in peace my dear friend.

When Calvin came to Philadelphia me and him became good friends. We had a lot in common we like to smoke cigars, drink, listen to music, and most of all one of Calvin's biggest loves cars. we always talked about fixing his Trans Am.
When Calvin came to Philadelphia we used to turn the fire plug on every day in the summer we sit under the fire plug drink and smoke. He was amazed that we could turn the fire plug on all day long and nobody bothered us. He always called it the water. He would call me and say hey Matt put the water on today me and him would sit out and enjoy your summer days.
One night me and Calvin went for a ride in my race car. We race a couple cars and of course we won. Calvin always wore his Michigan hat he was wearing it that night we were racing around the streets of Philadelphia somehow the hat wound up in the backseat. We got out of the car I parked it that night in the garage. And the next thing I know Calvin was on his way to Georgia. The next time I took my car out I saw the hat in the backseat Calvin always said it flew off his head when we were shifting gears. I hung his hat on a nail in my garage. We always text and talked and I always said next time you come back to Philly you can pick up your hat. He always told me to drive my car down to Georgia and bring the hat to him. I looked at that hat so many times over the lyears ever time I took my car out and I never thought much about it. But you can bet every time I back my car out of the garage and I look at that hat I'm going to thank you my friend my buddy Calvin.
To Calvin's Family and friends believe me do not try to figure it out. Just except what happened. If you keep trying to figure it out believe me I've been through it it is going to tear you up inside and eat you up. Calvin would not want that not at all. If you look up to the sky you will see Calvin looking down upon you. You will see him smile and you will know he is out of pain and he done suffering and he is happy.
To Calvin's brothers and sisters and daughter I'm sorry for your loss I'm gonna miss my conversations with him
