Obituary For Billy Deonte Render
We regretfully announce the passing of Mr. Billy Deonte Render, age 38, of Grantville, Georgia on Thursday, November 6, 2025.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Macedonia Baptist Church, 824 Gold Mine Road in Grantville, Georgia. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Reverend Johnny Strickland, Pastor and Reverend Dwight Hardaway, Eulogist.
Public viewing will be held on Friday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
The Family will receive friends at the Church on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service.
“His wings were ready, but our hearts were not”
Billy (Deonte) Render was born March 24, 1987, to the late Willie George Render and Wilhelmina Render. He was a loving father, son, brother, and friend whose presence brought light and laughter to every room he entered. He was educated in the DeKalb County Public School System attending Towers High School. After completing his educational studies, he joined the work force holding several jobs that allowed him to use his hands. When he was not working he enjoyed fishing, sitting talking to family, and listening to words of wisdom from elder men whom he looked to for guidance. His unwavering love for his children was undoubtedly his greatest joy and proudest accomplishment.

His Departure: Billy affectionally known as “Dee” was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. He was preceded in death by his loving father Willie George Render, paternal grandmother Daisy Render, maternal grandfather Willie James Woodard, maternal aunts Gwendolyn L. Woodard, Annie J.Owens-Hill, Debra Owens; and maternal uncles Dennis Owens and Alfred M. Randolph.
Those left to cherish his memories and continue his legacy includes a special grandmother Johnnie Mae Woodard, his loving mother Wilhelmina Render; sister Tequila Woodard; and brother Tobias Strozier. A loving niece Nayana Burgin and nephews Braylon Burgin and Rylen Strozier. Uncles, Sherman Woodard, Lester Wayne Woodard, Arthur George, Kenneth Owens, Edward (Hettye) Gates, Robert (Dr. Jane) Render, Randy (Mary) Render; aunts Shelia Randolph, Lisa George, Jacqueline Owens, Mable Render Myree, and Delois Render Jackson. A special friend Monica Parks, a loving Godmother Canera Ward, and a host of cousins, family, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

His children will continue to walk in his footstep’s always: Jamir Messiah Colton, Kaiden Ashton Render, Mia A’Mya Render, Kiava Majors, and Antraviois A’Mond Smith (bonus son).
