We respectfully announce the passing of Ms. Bertha Kate Cameron, age 72, on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville, Georgia.
Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Westview Cemetery in Hogansville, Georgia. Pastor Reginald Sims will officiate.
Public viewing will be held on Friday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Due to COVID-19 restrictions there will be a limit of 3 people at a time in the Funeral Home with social distancing of six feet.
Bertha Kate Cameron was born May 23 1948 in Troup County, Georgia to the late Fannie Maude Cameron and the late Charlie Philpot
Bertha Kate was a loving woman of God She loved to sing gospel songs, dancing, and dressing up with her make up
Bertha Kate graduated from West End High School Most of all she loved to spend time with her family In the later years, Bertha Kate resided at Pinehill Nursing Home in Byromville Georgia
Bertha Kate was preceded in death by her mother Fannie Maude Cameron Hopson father Charlie Philpot and her step father Alton Hopson, Sr two sisters, Maggie Mitchell and Ruby Pearl
Bertha Kate leaves to cherish her memories children, Carlos Cameron, Shannon Cameron sisters, Fannie Cameron, Delores Strozier, Ida Ruth ( Lakes brother, Alton (Cecelia deceased) Hopson, Jr and a host of nieces, nephews and many loving family members
