In beginning, I'd like to footnote that those of us who served with Willie in Viet Nam only knew him as Tony Hunter. I am so saddened to hear of Tony's passing. The only solace is knowing that he is no longer suffering. If you ever had the opportunity to meet and especially know Sgt. Hunter, you never forgot him. I know I never did. Tony was of immense stature, not because of his build but because of his integrity and leadership skills. Tony had a natural ability to instill calm and confidence in the Troopers he supervised. I was fortunate enough to aid Bob Rebec in pushing Tony around in a wheelchair when he and Arnet came to the reunion in Washington DC. It was my turn to repay Sgt. Hunter for the good care and guidance he gave me so many years ago. I will miss you Sgt. Hunter and I will see you in Fiddlers Green. My condolences to you Arnet and your family. John M. Sending my condolences and prayers to Mrs.Hunter, Corliss and Diamond! Mr. Willie's Light will continue to shine in all of you until you meet again. Continue to celebrate all of your good memories and love you all shared! I pray for peace and comfort 🙏🏽! Wilson Ricks
Sending prayers of love and comfort to Arnette, the girls (young ladies) and his entire family. I share in your loss, and I am sorry that I could not be there to help celebrate Cousin Kae's life. I remember how much he loved in family, both Columbus and Boston, and how he tried to stay in contact and support them. He will truly be missed. Much love, Cynthia Hill Stephens Old Boston, GA Girl
