Obituary For William (Bill) Phillips, Jr
William (Bill) Phillips, Jr “Black”, 57, of Columbus, GA passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023; after a sudden decline in health, surrounded by those who loved him dearly. Bill was born April 16, 1966, to the late William Philips, Sr and Christine Walker.
Educated in the Muscogee School District and a proud Carver Tiger.
Bill was a proud father of 2; skilled as a brick mason, however found his passion cooking. Many have enjoyed and praised his culinary delights from the various restaurants he was employed. He last delighted the palates at Old TownCounty Buffet. He enjoyed nothing more than good cooking.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Philips, Sr.; grandmothers, Virgina Colquitt and Minnie Lee Phillips; brother, Sandie Windfield Harris; and sister, Veronica Nelson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his stepfather and mother, Charlie and Christine Walker; children, Tresstin Beau Phillips and Victoria Giavonni Christina Phillips; brothers, Ernest Weaver, Tierre Walker, Pierre (Jackie) Walker, and Dexter D. Stinson; devoted friends, Shawanna Davis and Nina Crawford and a host of other relatives and friends.
The Homegoing Celebration for Mr. William Phillips, Jr. will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel at Progressive with interment following at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery in Upatoi.
Visitation will be on Thursday, 1 - 6:00 PM.

I work with Bill he was always joking around I would watch him as he worked I learned how to make alot of his product may you rest in peace bill.
I worked with Bill at Ole Times, he was always messing with me, but, he always came at the end of day, and asked what u got sweet for my momma, his favorite was the peanut butter cookies and chocolate chip ones!!! He always had a big Kool aid smile for all of us, he made the best cornbread dressing and cornbread and anything that he cooked in them kettles was always amazing!! He will be missed by many!! Fly hi my friend see u when I get there, sending all my love and prayers to his family and children!!!
