Mrs. Stella Mae Johnson passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the age of 67. She was born on December 19, 1957, to Arthur Powell and Terri Miles James in New Orleans, LA.
The Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Johnson will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Progressive with a private interment held at a later date at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Friday, from 1 to 5:00 PM.

To my friend and family of Ernest Johnson. My most heartfelt condolences. I met Stella through my friend Ernest while in the military back in the early 80s. I can remember her as an inviting and kind person who was very hospitable to back them were strangers in her home. My heart bleeds for this great loss of my friend Ernest lovingly referred to as J by his army buddies. No word can comfort the loss of a lifelong friend and partner who saw this life through with you. My friend. Know that you and your family are in my prayers and sending my love.
