Obituary For Sharon Lynn McClendon

Mrs. Sharon Lynn McClendon passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at the age of 67. She was born on November 8, 1955 to the late David John Allison, Sr. and Ethel Lee Jadison Allison in Lagrange, GA.

The Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Sharon McClendon will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at 11:30 AM at Greater Shady Grove Baptist Church with interment at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Tuesday beginning at 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Progressive.

Sharon joined Greater Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church at a young age, she served as a member there until she passed away.

Sharon was united in Holy Matrimony to Major McClendon in 1994.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Latasha Allison and both her parents.

Cherishing her memories are her devoted husband Major, daughter Shaneka Allison-Baker (Lydell) of Columbus, GA, sons Maurice Allison of Atlanta GA, Major McClendon, Jr. (Renay), Sherman McClendon (Shelia), Marcus McClendon (Keisha-Mae), Maurice McClendon all of Columbus, GA

Brothers David John Allison,Jr., Kenneth Allison, Stanley Allison, Jerome Allison (Belinda) and Jeffery Allison all of Columbus, GA, sisters Valerie Allison (Isaac) of Teaneck, NJ, Patricia Stanford (Rickey) of Columbus, Ga and Renea of LaGrange, Ga; 13 grandkids and 15 great-grandkids and a host of other relatives and friends

Sharon will forever be remembered for her beautiful smile and fiery spirit.
