Ms. Rosita Elaine Davis was born on November 14, 1948, in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late Mr. and Mrs. John G. and Lillian Alice Dickens-Davis. She was the youngest of two siblings.
At an early age, Ms. Davis accepted Christ as her personal Savior. Years later, after moving to Columbus, Georgia, she united with St. James CME Church, where she continued to grow in her faith and walk with God.
Prior to moving to Columbus, Ms. Davis earned her associate's degree at Florida Junior College in Jacksonville, Florida. She later began her professional career in Washington DC working at the FBI. She later returned to Jacksonville, beginning her career as a Sales Associate with Sears, where she faithfully worked for more than 20 years before retiring.
Ms. Davis departed this earthly life on the afternoon of August 10, 2026. We give all praise to God that the day before she left this Earth, she was surrounded by family, and her loved ones were able to spend precious time with her prior to her transition.
Left to cherish her beautiful memory are her beloved sister, Erma Davis Banks; her nephews, Christopher N. Banks (Natasha) and Justin Davis Banks, Sr. (Stacy); her great-niece, Kayla Justine Banks; her great-nephew, Justin Davis Banks, Jr.; her cousins Consta Kelley, Gary Harrison, Naomi Harrison, and Von Hubbard; a special family friend Shondell Stevenson, along with a host of other cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
