Red was a regular participant at our Sunday morning breakfast at Trinity Episcopal Church downtown. He was always a joy to be with and he shared his love and happy cheer with so many of our church members and breakfast guests. He will always hold a special place in our hearts. We commend his soul to Jesus and give thanks for his life and his time with us.

Before he was "Red" I met Ronald on 3211 Carver Street @ my residence.Living just 2 doors down from each other we often played outside together many of days. Didn't matter about the heat... we found the shade and made mud pies, ran up on one to three red light, hopped hop-scotch,jump rope, to mother may I. He was better than me on the hula hoop though. It was then I knew he was really a champion lol!! Our beginning friendship was early but lasted as kinship between two neighbor families. Our dearest mother's were friends! Our sisters Sheila, Maria, Gwen & Chris were sisters. The Renfro's and The Barksdale's are family rooted from Carver Heights. Ronald left an indelible imprint in so many hearts a number we can't imagine. Life is truly a mystery moment to moment is divinely precious. Ronald is sorely missed and will never be forgotten.
